THREE SISTERS is a small Iowa company founded by three  bargain-loving home school moms. After frustrating attempts to change the system to allow admission-free shopping, these three moms decided to create their own system and produced their first sales event, Home Learning Resources, in 2005.

Since then, THREE SISTERS has produced three other Home Learning Resources sales events in Des Moines and one in eastern Iowa. Always sensitive to the needs of the home school community, the HLR Stuff Sale was a suggestion the company took from a loyal shopper. It was held in early April 2008.

The company made its first venture into conference production in April 2009. It remains open to producing other events as a way to attend to the needs of the home school community, including monthly homeschool programming for the academic year 2009-2010.

THREE SISTERS is currently owned by two of its founders. The founders realize that sisterhood does not rely on bloodlines.
